I'm so excited for you to begin this journey with me and grateful you choose to dive in!
This program is one that you can return to over and over again whether you are Beginner or Advanced. Foundations are key, Concepts are the root.
I created this program because I noticed how many movements are taught the same but executed differently. So I asked WHY?
Each year I dive deeper and deeper into the realms of movement, breath & mindset, and I realized it's all about WHAT we value and HOW we learn the INTENTION of movement. I'm talking about what we intend to SENSE and become AWARE of as we experience movement versus just doing what "looks like correct form" or just counting reps for the sake of quantity instead of quality -- With this new sense and awareness your form will be even better because you will be CONNECTED to the intention.
The intention of this program is to teach you what to focus on when learning new movement.
I will discuss briefly each of the 6 Concepts, then the learning truly begins by you doing the movement with the Concepts as your focus. Ultimately your form will not only look correct it will FEEL great as you move to strengthen at every angle mind + body!
THE 6 CONCEPTS ARE:
CREATING SPACE + BREATHWORK
LOCOMOTION + SPIRALING
PUSH + PULL
CORE-GROUND RELATIONSHIP + ACTIVE STACKING
EYES IN RELATION TO BODY
**IMPORTANT: DO NOT EVER SKIP BREATHWORK & MANTRA!
The most important movement you ever do is Breathing and the most important driver in life is Mindset.
It's not only what we move, It's HOW we move it.
Video yourself doing the exercises - you will gain self-feedback by noticing if what you feel and think you are doing is actually what you see yourself doing
Match your breathing pattern to your movement
Give extra attention to the Concept you are working on - the reason why I laid the program out with Concepts is so you can drill them in one at a time to become intuitive
Have Fun! When you find yourself judging yourself just realize you are IN THE PROCESS OF LEARNING NEW INFO. Have patience and enjoy the process.
Connecting to your body with how you move, breathe, think, and relax will build your ability to find conscious relaxation.
